The laboratory in which the work will be carried out has all the facilities and equipment needed to conduct proper osteological analyses.

-Osteological equipment supplied by Paleo-Tech Concepts.

Personal history

Born on December 8th, 1973, I grew up in Bergen, Norway. After graduating from Bergen Katedralskole in 1993, I was certain I wanted an academic career and enrolled at Bergen University to do the required preliminary courses. While doing those courses, I got the opportunity to take part in an archaeological excavations as a field assistant and, thus my academic direction was set. In 1995, I spent a year in the navy doing my national service before I went back to university, in 1996, to study Nordic Archaeology. During that year of archaeology studies, I developed a strong interest in the human evolution and the humans themselves, not just the artefacts they left behind. I wanted to study skeletons. Human evolution or any form of human osteology are not subjects taught at any Norwegian university, so I had to go abroad to pursue my main academic interest. I spent 1997 looking for universities that offered what I wanted, applying to universities and organising funding. At the beginning of 1998, I left for Armidale, Australia, to join the BA program in Archaeology and Palaeoanthropology at the University of New England. I graduated from there in 2001. Later the same year I started studying for my MSc at Bournemouth University, England. In 2003, I graduated with a masters degree in Forensic and Biological anthropology.
